Netgear WiFi Extender WPS Setup

To connect your Netgear WPS setup, you can follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that your router and extender are both turned on.
  2. Press the WPS button on your router and extender.
  3. The WPS LED on your extender will blink.
  4. Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your device that you want to connect to the extender.
  5. The device will connect to the extender’s Wi-Fi network.

  6. Select and answer two security questions from the drop-down menus. These questions are used to recover your extender’s admin credentials if you forget them.
  7. Click or tap NEXT.
  8. If your extender asks if you would like to use the NETGEAR Genie to help, click or tap YES or CONTINUE.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Steps for mywifiext.net login

  1. Connect your computer or mobile device to the extender’s WiFi network. The extender’s default WiFi network name (SSID) is NETGEAR_EXT. The extender network either has no password or the default password is password.
  2. Launch a web browser and enter mywifiext.net or 192.168.1.250.
  3. Enter the default username and password, which are both admin.
  4. Click or tap LOG IN.

If you have forgotten the default username or password, you can reset the extender to factory defaults. To do this, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. The extender will reboot and you will be prompted to create a new admin account.

You can reset the settings on your  Netgear EX7700  using one of two methods:

  • By utilising the web user interface.
  • By first hitting the Factory Reset button.

  • Look for the Factory Reset button on the EX7700’s backside.
  • Wait at least five seconds or until the Device to Extender LED starts blinking orange before pressing and holding the reset button with a paper clip or pen.

  • Your EX7700’s factory default settings have been reset after rebooting.

Web browser:

  • Open any web browser 
  • Type mywifiext.net. In the address bar.
  • Now hit enter to land on the setup page.
  • Enter your email address and password on the login screen, then click Log In.
  • Click Settings and then Additional Settings on the NETGEAR login page.
  • Tap Reset. To continue, press Yes.
  • Wait for the device to finish returning to factory default settings on the web interface

  • Access the internet quickly with your smartphone.
