The Adiyogi Shiva Statue at the Isha Yogi Center in Coimbatore stands at a height of 112 feet, making it the fourth tallest statue of this deity. The weight of this statue is about 500 tons. It is essentially a bust sculpture and is the biggest of all. Its height symbolizes 112 ways of attaining moksha and the 112 chakras in the human system.
The locals associate a legend with this place. Over 15,000 years ago, there was a saint called Adiyogi. He imparted the study of Yoga to his seven disciples, the Saptarishis – or Seven Sages.
